THE TEAM

Martin Frisk

Martin Frisk

Deputy CEO

Martin was born in Sollefteå, but grew up in Stockholm and has lived here since his early years. Martin came into contact with Svekon after his Engineering studies with focus on Machine Design at KTH. He started working with Svekon as a consultant in 2003 and has been employed since 2004.

Today, Martin's role at Svekon spans a wide range, including overall responsibility for all consultants, strategy and business development, as well as close contact with customers and partners.

Martin is particularly passionate about working towards Svekon's goals from two perspectives. One being to maintain the wonderful working atmosphere, where people thrive and develop both in their professional role but also as people. The other one being to develop Svekon from a customer perspective – meaning to meet challenges together with the customer. These two goals he considers to be closely intertwined.

Jakob Jensen

Business Area Manager - Defence & Security

Jakob Jensen is Svekon’s area manager for Defense & Security. We will therefore begin his story around the turn of the millennium, when Jakob moved from his hometown Oxelösund to Strängnäs in order to complete his military service. This was done at P10 as a Combat Vehicle 90 driver.

After a year of tanks and military service, he was off to Stockholm for engineering training at KTH, specializing in mechanical engineering with a focus on vehicle technology. This unexpectedly led him into the telecom industry, before he finally found his home with us at Svekon.

With his broad background, Jakob is a versatile asset in all of the projects where he is involved, even though he is a little extra passionate about assignments where development and construction is included. He is driven by the group's development and how we together can help create the products of tomorrow. For our customers in Defense & Security, this means creating conditions for them to solve their task in the best possible way - both at the desk and out on the battlefield.

Frida Prästings

Business Area Manager - Borlänge

Frida Prästings trained as an engineer with focus on design in Luleå. During this time her love for nature and outdoor life grew, if possible, even greater. That passion took her further on to Östersund, before she moved back home again to Dalarna. During the past decade, she has worked there as both product developer and project manager. Now, she is a natural part of Svekon and has a clear focus on environment and sustainability as well as work environment and ergonomics - both in our own workplace and the products we develop for future generations.

With her focus on the creative process, she is a master of finding the core of every project where she is involved. But even though it is mainly physical objects she works with, the people around her are just as important. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that she is an expert of putting together teams where everyone plays a role and works together towards the same goal.

That constant movement forward is also something that is reflected in Frida's way of being. She is constantly on the move, both during and after working hours. At Svekon it is for instance noticeable through her dynamic work between our offices in Borlänge and Solna, where she has become the natural link between the countryside and the city. In her spare time, an observant person can probably find her out in the woods or on her way up the nearest mountain peak - unless she has already went out on her next adventure.

Hampus Krantz

Business Area Manager - Stockholm

Hampus Krantz’s journey began at KTH, where he studied design and product development. Since his following engineering exam, the Bollnäs born designer has been at Svekon. Today, Hampus is one of our business area managers with responsibility to push, coordinate and inspire within the projects his group are in charge of. That includes everything from small simple plastic details for children, to large, heavy lifting assemblies for trains.

But regardless of size, Hampus has a clear favorite theme: user-centric products. When the product itself communicates with the user, or why not when the human body is used as a tool? In that type of project, Hampus really shines. That said about a person who is already spreading an incredible warmth and passion around him, wherever he goes.

Because just like all of us at Svekon, Hampus believes that personal commitment – both towards you as a customer and between us as colleagues – is what lays the foundation to a successful project. It is through this that we help you realize your dreams.

FOR A BETTER TOMORROW

Engineers are a curious lot. We want to know how parts fit together, interact with each other and why they work the way they do. If a part is missing, we create it – or develop something completely new. It is an important building block in the way we work, live and exist.

Thanks to this drive, we also have a unique opportunity to change our world for the better. Maybe that’s why we at Svekon are driven by visions and ideas that do just that.

Maybe that’s why, after more than 50 years in business, we’re still looking for imaginative people with visions and dreams, regardless of background.
But let’s be honest; time and experience have made us more humble. We have
learned that the best solution is usually found by working together, and that trials precede most breakthroughs.

With that in mind, we like to involve our customers in every project, from idea to finished product. From thought to reality.

Together, we are constantly motivated and ready to make our contribution to the new, innovative and revolutionary.

FROM IDEA TO PRODUCT

Today we are over 50 employees with up to 50 years of experience, all of whom have high general skills with different specializations. Our employees can quickly familiarize themselves with new assignments and their customers’ routines and always offer a high level of personal commitment.

With our expertise and capabilities, we help you make your dream a reality. We take projects all the way from pre-study, test and prototype to finished product. We keep our promises and don’t promise more than we can deliver.

THE WHOLE IS GREATER THAN THE SUM OF ITS PARTS

We run projects and assignments together, both at our customers’ sites and on our own facilities. In this way, we can benefit from each other, which we believe makes the whole better.

We also have the privilege of having both office and workshop in the same
building. It is a strength for us that our designers have a prototype workshop where ideas and concepts can be easily tested. This helps us verify and validate that our solutions work according to the requirements specification and the customer’s needs.

OUR STORY

Svensk Konstruktionstjänst AB was founded in 1971 by Stig Kervefors and Stig
Broms. They met at Sikob, a company where they worked together with Stig’s
younger brother Åke Kervefors. Stig Kervefors was, among other things, involved in rebuilding and completely modernising the rope-operated excavator of the time with the help of hydraulics.

In 1971 Stig and Stig started their own business, and 22 years later, their younger brother Åke Kervefors took over the company. In 2004, Johan Lantz was hired as the company’s CEO, while Åke Kervefors continued to work in the company as CFO.
