After finishing his master thesis at Svekon, he had convinced everyone enough. Meet Svekon’s new shooting star, William Marin.
You did your master thesis with us at Svekon. Tell us about that!
We developed an existing product further, a cross-country skiing machine called Nordic Ski Crosser.
What’s your education?
I have attended KTH. First a bachelor’s degree in design and product development, and then a master in mechatronics.
What will you do here at Svekon?
I will work both with construction and electronics development, with a little more focus on the latter.
What are you most looking forward to?
This will be my first job, so it will be fun to enter working life and develop in my role. I also think it feels very inspiring to work with different projects, so that you can try many different things.
What kind of projects do you enjoy the most?
If I start from how it was in school, I often like when it’s a mix of both mechanical parts, electronics and software. So when it becomes a combination of several different things, maybe slightly more complex projects.
What do you do in your spare time?
I’ve been doing some home projects in the past, but not much at the moment. I’m trying to start playing more golf and working out a little right now. I played a bit of golf when I was younger, but now I’ve had a five-year break and am trying to get back into it.
