Since its inception in 1995, NDE Offshore AB have grown into an internationally recognised diving corporation, dealing mainly with delivering secure solutions for the energy industry.

NDE inspect, maintain and repair all covered constructions down to a depth of 300 meters below surface. The potential consequences of any accidents are devastating, which puts a huge emphasis on certifications, tests, procedures, and documentation. A number of standards must be followed, such as ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001, an international system to ensure quality, occupational health and safety.

LARGE DEMAND

Wind energy has grown exponentially in recent years, and the German north coast is now covered in wind turbines. To meet this demand, NDE receive help from Svekon in producing custom designed equipment, often in the shape of robust, welded steel/aluminium structures. In addition to producing blueprints for mounting and welding, the project includes carrying out strength calculations as well as project management within the development of certifying documents for the offshore industry.

“NDE is a small company with extreme peaks in work load,” says NDE’s Human Resources Manager, Frida Lindström. “We have collaborated with Svekon for a long time, and the peace of mind that comes with knowing that we can bring in extra resources on short notice allows us to grow as a company. We see Hampus, who has been with us the most, as an important co-worker.”

Svekon’s Hampus Krantz has an exciting job, managing multimillion-pound-projects abroad for one of the most dynamic companies in Sweden.

“This task contains many interesting aspects. It’s a challenge to master all areas, from marketing and making quotes, to construction and project management,” he says.
